Herder-Institut für historische Ostmitteleuropaforschung: Herder Fellowship

Beschreibung des Programms

Das Herder-Institut vergibt Stipendien an Promovierende oder Postdocs, insbesondere aus ostmitteleuropäischen Ländern und dem westeuropäischen Ausland sowie an ausgewiesene Expertinnen und Experten der historischen Ostmitteleuropaforschung.
Fellows können für einen Forschungsaufenthalt an den Sitz des Instituts in Marburg kommen und im Rahmen des Stipendiums die umfangreichen Sammlungen (Bildarchiv, Kartensammlung, Dokumentensammlung) und eine der größten Spezialbibliotheken weltweit zur Geschichte Ostmitteleuropas nutzen.

Das Stipendium wird für 1 Monat (Format I) oder für 3 Monate gewährt (Format II). Es besteht aus einem monatlichen Grundstipendium in Höhe von 1.400 Euro (Format I) bzw. 1.600 Euro (Format II), hinzu kommen Zuschüsse zur Krankenversicherung, außerdem zu Sach- und Reisekosten.

Zielgruppe

Promovierende und Postdocs (Format I) oder habilitierte Wissenschaftler (Format II), die vor allem aus ostmitteleuropäischen Ländern und dem westeuropäischen Ausland stammen und in der historischen Ostmitteleuropaforschung aktiv sind

Etwa 15 Stipendien pro Jahr

Laufzeit

Bis zu 1 Monat (Format I) bzw. bis zu 3 Monaten mit Option auf die Förderung eines Workshops (Format II)

Stipendienleistung

  • Monatliches Grundstipendium: 1.400 Euro (Format I) bzw. 1.600 Euro (Format II), optionaler Workshop in Format II wird bis zu 5.000 Euro gefördert
  • Zuschuss zur Krankenversicherung, max. 35 Euro pro Monat (für Nicht-EU-Bürgerinnen und -Bürger)
  • Sachmittel (50 Euro/Monat)
  • Reisekostenerstattung (Bahnticket in der 2. Klasse)
