German universities, like most universities around the world, maintain a broad network of international partnerships. The DAAD supports such international partnerships through a number of schemes that aim to foster cooperation among higher education institutions.

University Landscape & General Advice for Cooperation

There are multiple examples of cooperation between foreign universities and German higher education institutions (HEI). This type of cooperation includes the academic exchange of students and/or professors, as well as regular scientific projects. Between Germany and Japan broad successful cooperation already exists.

Network

DWIH Tokyo

The German Research and Innovation Forum Tokyo (DWIH Tokyo) acts as an umbrella for German scientific and research interests in Japan. Its aim is to present German research organisations and innovative companies in a concerted effort.
